MURAL HANGING GUIDE
Preparing your surface
For a perfect finish, prepare your walls ensuring they are clean, even and dry. Remove any old wallpaper and make sure there aren't any patches of different shades of paint.
Paste the wall
Apply I Love Wallpaper's instant mix adhesive to your wall using a foam roller. Make sure you don't allow the paste to dry and apply the finish as evenly as possible.
Hanging the wallpaper
Apply your sheets directly to the wall, smoothing out any air bubbles from the centre outwards. Butt your joints neatly together and wipe any excess adhesive off lightly with a damp cloth.
As with all wall coverings, we advise you wait a minimum of four weeks after applying any paint before putting up your mural. This ensures that the paste you use to hang the mural can create a strong and secure bond with the wall.
You will need the following tools in order to efficiently hang your mural. Each of our murals is paste to wall and therefore are easy to hang. We suggest adding lines to your wall prior to hanging to ensure a smooth and straight finish.
Each panel in the mural contains a number at the bottom to ensure they can be efficiently hung in order.
As with hanging any wallpaper, it is important to ensure your walls are clean, smooth and dry, including any recent painting you may have done, before you begin. Ensure you have thoroughly measured your space and have all of your equipment to hand.
Each of our murals comes in easy to arrange panels, with pre-printed cut lines to follow for easier hanging. The mural will arrive in one 17m long roll, containing seven panels that each measure 50 x 240cm.
Each panel alternates between right side up and upside down on the roll. To make it simple to hang, as well as the pre-printed cut lines, each panel has an ordered number on the excess at the bottom, ensuring you don't lose your way!
As the standard murals are individually printed, pattern matching is not possible on any of our murals.
